Master Yoda – Ascended Master and Pop Culture Magick Icon

Art by Ralph McQuarrie

If you are a Star Wars nerd but also an energy healer, then you will come to understand that it has many references to metaphysical and spiritual subjects; such as spirit beings and universal life force energy, aka the Force.

And if I had to explain what Reiki is, then I would probably suggest that you see Star Wars.

I’d like to think of Master Yoda as an ascended master as well as a pop culture magick icon. In magic and metaphysics, anything or anyone you think is inspiring, powerful and has personal meaning for you can be considered a deity or a talisman that can protect you. Someone that you can call upon when you’re feeling down and out.

Into my journey as a Reiki practitioner, I immediately felt a connection to Master Yoda as he is patient, wise, powerful and deeply connected to the Force.

A character that was created out of thought and imagination is a thought form, which means it exists.

For example, whenever I’m feeling small and insignificant in this world I like to think of the scene where Master Yoda is saying what he said to Luke on Dagobah when Luke was getting frustrated with his training in The Empire Strikes Back:

Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship.

– Master Yoda

So what can you do with your pop culture magickal guide? Call upon this being whenever you feel you need protection from harmful energies. It’s better to connect with a character that you like, can relate to and think about often than your typical spirit guide or ascended master who you have no connection with at all. Try it out and pay attention to the results!

Is Energy Healing the same as Energy Work?

You probably hear the terms “energy healing” and “energy work” often, as both terms tend to blend into one another. The question is, are they the same? If not, then what is the difference?

This is just my own interpretation of the differences between Energy Healing and Energy Work so bare with me as I attempt to explain.

Energy Healing is the process of healing your energy or those who come to you through the use of a variety of different energetic or alternative medicine methods.

Still sounds vague. But what does that mean exactly?

It means you are actively working on healing yourself by getting to know which of your chakras are open or blocked. The chakras are wheels of subtle energy that generate the electromagnetic field around our body that is more commonly known as our aura or energy body. If one of your chakras is blocked, you will have difficulty with certain issues with your life. For example, if your 5th chakra is blocked or spinning very low or not at all – you will have difficulty speaking clearly and expressing your wants and needs, as the 5th chakra is associated with the throat. Whether this is done through seeing an energy worker, healer or practitioner or even doing it on your own is based on your personal preference / experience.

Examples of energy healing could involve going for a Reiki or Crystal Healing session.

Energy Work is the process of working with energy and intention to achieve certain results. Again, it can be done by yourself or by going to an energy worker, healer or practitioner.

But again, what does that mean?

When we work with energy, we are working with the unseen forces of nature to create or achieve a certain outcome or result. In most energy workings, the goal is to achieve balance, inner peace and harmony within the self’s inner and outer world.

To put it simply: our thoughts create our reality.

In order to achieve this, you or the energy worker must be trained or experienced in doing meditation, visualization and breathing techniques on a regular basis to bring your subtle bodies – your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies – back into balance. In doing so, your body, mind and soul/spirit are whole again.

Examples of energy work could involve you meditating, balancing your chakras, repeating mantras or affirmations, lighting a candle for a specific outcome or even writing your thoughts in a journal.

Some say Energy Work is similar to Manifestation and I can see why; both processes involves working with energy and intention.

Conclusion:

Energy Healing and Energy Work are terms that are used frequently in the wellness and healing industries. Although they may sound very similar, there are some subtle differences:

Energy Healing is using energy or alternative medicine methods to heal yourself or others.

Energy Work is creating the energy you want around a certain outcome. For example: wanting health, inner peace and healing for yourself.

What Is My Purpose?

What is my purpose?

I’ve asked this question many times. In fact, it’s a question I tend to ask the most when shuffling tarot cards or an oracle deck.

There were times when I’ve asked that question and received a different answer. The answer I got was: you are here to love.

But for some reason, I just wasn’t satisfied with that answer. LOL, do you see why humans are insane sometimes? It’s like we want a really complicated answer, something that our mind and ego can digest and be satisfied with.

Humans really are complex beings. We tend to get obsessive and ask the same question over and over again, to the point where we drive ourselves crazy. I know this because, I am exactly that way. And for this reason, we block ourselves from receiving divine or spiritual guidance; it’s as if you don’t have faith in the universe, you don’t trust the message that is being delivered.

Spiritual guidance is simple, loving and direct. It is also very subtle and easy to miss. This is probably why our egos get frustrated.

Which is why it’s important to learn how to get quiet and find the answer within. Communicate with your guides or inner being; it might seem like they are something else that is outside of you, but they are the higher, more evolved version of you. Learn to meditate if you are serious about discovering your purpose. Then you will know.

My friend Mandy & I have our moon meetups in the San Fernando Valley, either at her house or mine every new and full moon. Overtime, she has a spirit guide that joins us and channels messages through her. The guide told me to stop asking what my purpose is and to start creating.

So I have resolved to stop asking. Instead, I just follow whatever it is I’m into. I’ve come to the conclusion that I probably won’t ever know what my purpose is or if I even have a mission.

You just have to create and keep on going.

How to Cancel an Appointment with Me

If you make an appointment with me and you change your mind about showing up, I would greatly appreciate it if you would communicate with me. Reply to my email, I promise I won’t get upset with you. If anything I will respect and appreciate you more than anything. It means that you respect my time. It also indicates you are a responsible and considerate person. It sucks when people don’t tell you that they’re not going to show up for their appointment. How would you feel if someone did that to you?

Book Cover Appreciation: Pranic Psychotherapy – Choa Kok Sui

If you know me, then you also know that I am a nerd when it comes to visuals and graphic design – it’s what I do for a living when I’m not doing Reiki / crystal healing on the weekends.

I was talking to someone and they mentioned that they do pranic healing. Of course I was curious so I Googled it and discovered a (new to me) teacher by the name of Master Choa Kok Sui. I believe finding his work was not a coincidence; I am looking at his photo and I feel as if he is smiling at me. I have found a new teacher and guide. And now my goal is to collect and read all his books. It also delights me to know he was of Filipino-Chinese descent – I am also Filipino.

I copied and pasted this from my Google search:

Master Choa Kok Sui is the founder of Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga. He has established healing centers in 45 countries and is constantly traveling amongst the different ones giving workshops and seminars. He is also a chemical engineer and a highly successful businessman in the Philippines. Google Books

Born: August 15, 1952, Cebu, Philippines
Died: March 19, 2007, Quezon City, Philippines

So there you have it. I just wanted to save this book cover because it was eye catching and has a vintage feel to it. And of course I love rainbows and all things healing.😊

To my surprise, Master Choa Kok Sui had also written a book on Pranic Crystal Healing; here is the book cover.

From what I gather so far, pranic healing sounds similar to Reiki except it is a no-touch healing technique. I can’t wait to order his books and read them all.

How to Spot Red Flags from a Psychic, Spiritual Healer, Metaphysical Practitioner or Teacher

A very important Instagram post from Lacey aka @hypepriestess regarding how to spot red flags when going to a psychic, spiritual healer, practitioner or teacher. Please read the comments on the post as well as they are just as valuable.

It’s no surprise that scammers and con artists exist everywhere, even more so in the spiritual / metaphysical industries. Please vet the person you choose to go to for healing and guidance; look at their website, social media pages and feel free to ask them questions about their services. The keyword here is transparency.

The word “authentic” is also getting used a lot these days, although in my personal opinion – people can still hide behind authenticity and put one over you. Practice discernment and use your intuition to alert yourself if someone feels ‘off’ to you.

A major red flag is when they never show their face. Make sure the person you choose has real videos of themselves talking or saying things from their own perspective, rather than putting up pretty, aestethically pleasing pictures and inspirational quotes from everyone else.

This has weighed on my mind and spirit for a while now, and I know @fulltimewitch has loads of discussions on this, but i wanted to speak my peace. I’ve also had wonderful discussions with wonderful teachers and healers in my life, @luneinnate and @angelamarymagick – thank you for being my earthly guides in this life 🙏🏽 I’m not 100% ready to talk about my personal experiences yet, but I do want to put out some info I’ve witnessed and stories I’ve heard throughout the years of manipulation via healers/witches/practitioners in a state of power and/or teachers. If you go into a class or with a practitioner and you notice a sense of hierarchy, that they believe they’re better than you – run. Do not go into a class or a healing giving that person your power – do not put them on a pedestal – if they are able to administer a healing modality, then so can you. Don’t succumb to psychic manipulation and don’t go broke over it either. If your physical or energetic bodies or your guides are telling you something is off, trust it. To scammers, harmful “healers,” ego-driven practitioner’s, and appropriators – we’re sick of what you’re doing, and we’re calling it out. To pay so much time and money to learn the first time – and then to have to UNLEARN harmful practices – do yourselves a favor and trust your instincts and use HEAVY discernment. Not all healers are created equally. Just because someone is in this industry doesn’t mean they’re fully healed or that they are even honest or truthful. Be aware. What red flags have you experienced and/or do you watch out for when signing up for a holistic class or healing session? . . . #hypepriestess #magic #highpriestess #badasswitch #foolsjourney #boss #selfmade #tarot #witch #chakras #santaana #orangecounty #dtsa #crystals #crystalhealing #healingcrystals #holistic #manifesting #authenticself #spiritualcoach #intuitivecoach #gohypeyourself

An Audio & Visual Meditation Experiment✨

I told myself recently that if I didn’t have a lot of clients for my crystal healing practice, I would keep on learning, expanding my knowledge and creating things that make me happy. As most of you probably already know, I am an artist & graphic designer so creativity is important to me and so I’ve incorporated it into my healing practice. Advertising consistently gets expensive, so I have to figure out other ways to put myself out there without spending so much money.

So I made this video of me doing hypnotic, energetic hand movements as an experiment. It is similar to what I do during a Trans-Crystal Therapy session, where my hands are sweeping over your aura or your energy field to see if there are hot, cold or “heavy” spots. It takes practice to feel the energetic field that surrounds us, but if you persist you can eventually feel something.

I added rainbows to simulate the aura and sparkles to visualize the energy.

What Is Energy Healing?

I saw this on @HypePriestess’ Instagram story and wanted to post it here, which led me to DharmaTalks.com to borrow the image ::waves hello to both of you if you happen to see this::

It’s just a perfect little summary to explain what I do, except I work with the energy of crystals and stones so it’s called “Crystal Healing”.

It says in the image:

Everyone has 4 “bodies” of energy: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual

While they are independent of each other, if one of them is out of balance, you will feel lack and discomfort in your life (usually with health, relationships, or money). Just as you heal your physical body through exercise and diet, there are also methods of healing your other energy bodies.

Do a Google search and you’ll discover that there are many types of energy healing. The energy healing modalities I am trained in are Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki and Trans Crystal Therapy. I have combined these two modalities into one – Reiki Crystal Healing. If you are in the Los Angeles area and wouldn’t mind coming to North Hollywood, you can book a session at Crystal Healer LA.

What is a Crystal Healer?

If Crystal Healing is a form of energy work that involves the use of crystals…

then a crystal healer, or crystal therapist – is a person who works with the energy of crystals and stones to assist a person in healing.

But, what exactly is healing?

Healing is the term most commonly associated with energy work. Energy workers, or energy healers work with life force energy to restore a person’s emotional, mental, spiritual and physical subtle bodies back to a harmonious and balanced state. The crystals and stones are energy healing tools that hold a resonance (earth energy) that aids in the healing process. The person receiving the healing is raising their own vibration to match that of the healing practitioner and the crystals and stones being used.

A crystal healer can facilitate healings with or without certification, although these days most people take the certified route – especially if you intend to accept clients. Some healers have learned the ancient art of crystal healing through reading books or just trying it on their own while others have taken courses online or in person and received certification.

Since we exist in a world where often times people need proof, a certification acknowledges that the person has undergone training to properly facilitate a healing. It is up to you – the individual – to decide whether you prefer someone who is certified or not.

It’s much more important that you vibe with the healer you have chosen to assist you than a certification, so as always do your research and follow your intuition.

Not all crystal healers are the same, meaning some have learned different ways of working with crystal energy. While most are familiar with the ‘laying of stones’ technique on the 7 chakras of the subtle body, other crystal healing techniques include Crystal Reiki, Crystal Surgery, sound and Trans Crystal Therapy – which is my specialty.

Why Go for a Crystal Healing?

Does this sound like you?

You have an open heart and an open mind. Maybe you don’t quite believe in the healing power of crystals and stones yet, but you’re curious and willing to try.

If you said ‘yes’, then you should definitely come for a crystal healing session.

I’m going to use the simple analogy of getting your skin cut by a knife or sharp object – our skin has the natural ability to regenerate and heal, thus making the cut disappear within 5 days.

It is the same with crystal healing, which is a form of energy work that addresses not only the physical but also the emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of ourselves. Just like our cars need maintenance, so do our energetic bodies. Consistent amounts of stress, anxiety, worry, trauma and the wide range of human interactions can take a toll on our spirits, leaving us depleted and exhausted.

So during a crystal healing / crystal therapy session, you are essentially getting an energy tune up. We must learn to maintain our energy and release blockages from our body on a regular basis, otherwise they fester and manifest into dis-ease.

Through conscious breathing and visualizing yourself as a healed human being, a healing takes place.

I am available for in person Reiki and crystal healing sessions in North Hollywood, CA. Sessions take place at my home. Distance healing sessions are also available by request.
